_MG_5361This is the story of the loneliest man. Life on the One Wheel experiments with everyday experience and elements of popular culture to explore the fragile simplicity of human emotion. Combining lists, projections and autobiographical works, Small Talk finds the exciting within the mundane.

‘Visually rich yet economical, whilst giving a glimpse into other lives and stories.’
Katie Etheridge – Founder of Faceback, Artist and Lecturer Falmouth University

Life on the One Wheel is set in the midpoint of a journey between Motreal and Toronto. The piece experiments with using durational tasks in an attempt to push the body as close to its limits as it can go. The performance attempts to recreate the journey of a lone unicyclist, using physical movement, spoken text and theatre of the miniature in an attempt to answer what it is to feel lonely.

‘I applaud and encourage the playful experimenting that the company are undertaking.’
Simon Harvey – Artistic Director o-region/ Associate Director Kneehigh
